This month 2 schools from the Netherlands: Stella Maris college and Bernardinus College, are visiting the project. Thanks to the GLOBAL EXPLORATION program in the Netherlands and thanks to the good network and contacts of Maarten and Anke, we are the proud hosts for these 2 schools. Part of the visit is the “schools for schools” program where the schools will work at the project, and by doing this support our project and help us to do some maintenance work. The 2 schools are painting the fence around the plot. It will be nice and green again. But we also have time to enjoy the area and South Africa. The schools will visit the PILANESBERG Nature Reserve and also make walking tours with our Care-Givers into the township and several extensions. On Thursday we joined the Child protection Event at the plot and the school presented their own dance.

On Monday afternoon we organised a real international match between the Dutch school team and our Sithand’Izingane team. After singing the National Anthem and exchange of nice words, the match started. The Sithand’Izingane team celebrated a victory 4 – 3 on the Dutch team, but the atmosphere was awesome. The first week of August the 2nd school will arrive at the project, and we are looking forward to meet with them.

It is always good to know that young people from abroad like to join hands with our children and the project, to built that better future.
